Customizing Message Templates

Each PPE password policy has three message templates, one for each of the PPC messages. To edit a policy's message templates:

Click the Policies item to display the Policies view.
Click the desired policy in the right pane of the management console.
Click Properties in the right pane of the management console.
Click the Messages tab.
Choose a language from the Language drop-down list.
Edit the message templates in the Password Policy, Rejection Reason, and Generic Rejection text boxes.

The default Password Policy and Rejection Reason templates contain macros. PPE replaces these macros with password policy information. The most important macros are [POLICY] and [REASON]. PPE replaces these macros with rule inserts.
